r, am 106 -3-53- 1 <br />added to the Scope of Services, one is the construction phasing so the project can be broken into two <br />projects for construction; and the second is to expand the drainage design to include areas on the <br />existing CR 512 right-of-way which had been draining through the San Sebastian Springs <br />Subdivision, to collect that area and direct it into the new CR 512 system. Also, in the process of <br />coordinating the project with the City of Sebastian, the City has informed us they would like to have <br />a drainage pipe constructed on CR 512 right-of-way, which will allow them to convey the run-off <br />coming from a portion of the Sebastian Highlands Subdivision, and remove it from flowing through <br />the San Sebastian Springs Subdivision as well. These items of work are included in the attached <br />Addendum to the Agreement. The landscape design has its own Scope of Services, which is attached <br />as "Exhibit A'. Included along with the Addendum is an Interlocal Agreement with the City of <br />Sebastian providing for the County to include the additional services in its Professional Services <br />Agreement and for the City to reimburse the County for the cost thereof for the design and permitting <br />of the drainage pipe on CR 512 right-of-way, and for the County to include the subject drainage pipe <br />in the construction contract for CR 512, Roseland Road to I-95. The City of Sebastian will reimburse <br />the County for the construction of the subject pipe. The fees for the above work are as follows: <br />Professional Services - Landscape Design $33,000.00 <br />Construction Phasing $ 9,550.00 <br />Drainage Design Expansion $ 4,100.00 <br />City of Sebastian, Additional Scope of <br />Services for Blossom Ditch Diversion System $15.260.00 <br />TOTAL: $61,910.00 <br />The charges associated with Section V 5. described above is $61,910.00. The Agreement shall be <br />increased from $471,500.00 to $533,410.00. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Alternative No. 1 - The Board approve the Addendum No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement <br />for CR 512 with Masteller & Moler, Inc. and the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Sebastian for <br />the inclusion, on the Professional Services Agreement with Masteller & Moler, Inc., and in the <br />construction contract, for the drainage pipe in CR 512 right-of-way, and that the Board direct the <br />Chairman to execute these two agreements on behalf of the Board. <br />Alternative No. 2 - Not to approve these agreements. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends approval of Alternative No. 1; funding to come from 101-157-541-067.73. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously <br />approved Addendum No. 1 to the Professional <br />Services Agreement for CR -512 with Masteller & <br />Moler, Inc. and the Interlocal Agreement with the <br />City of Sebastian for inclusion on the Professional <br />Services Agreement with Masteller & Moler, Inc. <br />and in the construction contract for the drainage pipe <br />in CR -512 right-of-way, and directed the Chairman <br />to execute the agreements, as recommended by staff. <br />AGREEMENTS ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />July 21, 1998 <br />-16- <br />• 0 <br />
