Finney, SRA <br />County Right -of -Way Agent <br />SUBJECT: 26th Street Right -of -Way Acquisition <br />Hammond Grove Parcel <br />REFERENCE: County Project No. 8528 <br />DATE: July 8, 1998 <br />Fifty feet of additional right-of-way is required on the north side <br />of 26th Street for the continuation of the road widening and <br />drainage. <br />The property owner has executed a contract at $30,000 per acre for <br />the land . <br />The contract price is $34,500 for the 1.15 acre 50' wide x 1,000' <br />parcel. The Public Works staff considers the contract reasonable <br />at $3,750 per unit (9.2 units). <br />RECOMMENDATION AND ruNDING <br />Staff requests the Board of County Commissioners approve the <br />$34,500 purchase and authorize the Chairman to execute the <br />contract. <br />Funding to be from Account No. 315-214-541-066.51 <br />July 21, 1998 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously approved the $34,500 purchase of the <br />Hammond Grove Parcel from Thomas S.
