• <br />Policy 4.10: The county shall continue to offer water, sewer, and traffic impact fee financing <br />programs which allow the spreading of impact fee payments over several years. Currently, traffic <br />impact fee financing is available only to industries listed under SIC codes 20 through 39 and to <br />county targeted industries. <br />Proposed Action: DELETE POLICY <br />Action is included in policy 1.3. <br />Polia 4-12: The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, through its programs, shall develop <br />information on businesses that are locating to the county. The information will be presented to the <br />county's Economic Development Council on an annual basis. This information shall be used for <br />marketing activities. <br />Action: DELETE POLICY <br />Policy 4,13: The county, through the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, shall provide <br />assistance to relocating companies during the relocation process and afterwards as needed <br />Proposed Action: REVISE POLICY <br />The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce shall provide assistance to relocating companies <br />during the relocation process and afterwards as needed and report any actions taken to the Economic <br />Development Council at their regular meeting. <br />Pow 4.15: The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce and its Economic Development <br />Division shall designate the Director of Economic Development as a local contact to coordinate with <br />businesses during the relocation process. <br />Proposed Action: DELETE POLICY <br />This action has been included in policy 4.13. <br />Policy 5-2: The county shall disseminate any new information to those groups that are most <br />responsible for implementing various economic development projects. <br />Proposed Action: DELETE POLICY <br />PoHU 5-4: The county shall ensure an efficient permitting process among all goven <br />departments and agencies to facilitate a smooth transition for industries relocating to Indian <br />County. <br />Proposed Action: REVISE POLICY <br />The county, through pre -application meetings and Technical Review Committee meetings, shall <br />review procedures, identify needed permits, and provide information and feedback to applicants to <br />expedite the permitting process. The county shall also assist applicants by providing information <br />on non -county required permits or reviews and provide contact information. <br />Poli 5_ : On a regular basis, the Indian River County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) <br />shall request updated information from the Florida Department of Transportation on the extension <br />of Amtrak and high speed rail services. <br />Proposed Action: DELETE POLICY <br />Policy The county, through the Tourist Development Council, shall continue to market the <br />county internationally in an effort to increase market share. <br />Proposed Action: DELETE POLICY <br />Policy 6.1 will be combined with policy 6.3. <br />Policy 6"2: By 1998, the county, in cooperation with the Tourist Development Council, shall <br />continue to market eco -tourism and cultural tourism in relation to the county's environmental <br />amenities and cultural offerings. <br />Proposed Action: REVISE POLICY <br />The Tourism Division of the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce shall continue to market <br />eco -tourism and cultural tourism in relation to the county's environmental amenities and cultural <br />offerings. The Tourism Division shall publish advertisements which market the county's <br />environmental amenities and cultural offerings.
