• <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Chairman Adams absent) approved staff's recommendation as <br />set out in the memorandum except for condition # 1 to allow the <br />use of street names in the interior roadways of the development, <br />and that there shall be enhanced buffers on the western border; <br />and adopted Ordinance No. 2000-018 amending the zoning <br />ordinance and the accompanying zoning map from RS -1, RS -3, <br />RM -3 and CG to PD for approximately 446.5 acres of land <br />generally located north of the North Relief Canal, between <br />US#1 and the Indian River Lagoon, south of 63rd Street. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000- 018 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE AND THE ACCOMPANYING ZONING MAP FROM RS - <br />1, RS -3, RM -3, AND CG TO PD FOR APPROXIMATELY 446.5 ACRES OF <br />LAND GENERALLY LOCATED NORTH OF THE NORTH RELIEF CANAL, <br />BETWEEN US#1 AND THE INDIAN RIVER LAGOON, SOUTH OF 63RD <br />STREET; AND DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission, sitting as the local planning agency on <br />such matters, has held a public hearing and subsequently made a recommendation regarding this <br />rezoning request; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, did <br />publish and send its Notice of Intent to rezone the hereinafter described property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that this rezoning is <br />consistent with the Comprehensive Plan of Indian River County and the county land development <br />regulations, including but not limited to the Planned Development (PD) Process and Standards for <br />Development chapter, and <br />June 20, 2000 <br />79 <br />POCK .J rAGE <br />• <br />
