Mr. Kingsley stated that the owner was a part of the original request for <br />abandonment and had paid his fees; he guessed that abandonment of 6th Place might be <br />considered at some future date. <br />Commissioner Macht restated his belief that the owner of the house and lot on the <br />north side of 6thPlace did not have their property for sale, and Mr. Kingsley corrected his <br />comments stressing that the owner of whom he spoke lived on the south side of 6th Place. <br />Chairman Adams restated that there was no request to withdraw indicated in the <br />backup, but if that was the understanding, then the Board could vote to abandon just those <br />two segments. <br />Director Boling confirmed that the resolution in the backup was for the two segments <br />highlighted. He added that staff would have no objection if the parties agreed to abandon <br />the segment on 6th Place, but at this time it is not part of the resolution. He explained their <br />usual process includes having both parties come to the staff meetings because the action <br />would affect both parties equally. In this case, 6th Place was withdrawn and taken out of <br />consideration. <br />Chairman Adams understood then that there was still access to the lake at 6th Place, <br />and Director Boling confirmed her understanding <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the Chairman closed the <br />public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED BY Vice <br />Chairman Ginn, the Board unanimously adopted Resolution <br />No. 2000-096 providing for the closing, abandonment, vacation <br />and discontinuance of the portion of 6th Street and 7th Street in <br />September 5, 2000 <br />56 <br />BK 1PS 790 <br />• • <br />
