. <br />t7� <br />W <br />the boundaries of said Vero Bridge District for the purpose of repaying loan now outstanding <br />and unpaid, the total sum estimates in the budget being $49992.67. <br />'The Board then proceeded to fix the millage for the �juay Bridge District, in accordance <br />W.ith the laws of Florida, as amended by the Acts of the 1927 Legislature, and it was deter- <br />mined that a tax rate of Your (4) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby fixed and <br />assessed for the year 19369 on all of the property in the County of Indian River, lying and ✓'�_ <br />being within the boundaries of said quay Bridge District for the purpose of properly opera- <br />ting the bridge in said District and the reasonable and usual repairs and maintenance of <br />said Bridge and the approaches thereto, the total sum estimated in the budget being X4,992.67. <br />The Board then proceeded to fix and set the rate of millage for wabasso Bridge District, <br />in accordance with the laws of Florida, as amended by the acts of the 1929 Legislature, and <br />it was determined that a tax rete of Ten (10) mills on the dollar be levied and is hereby <br />fixed and assessed for the year 1936, upon all of the property in the County of Indian Inver <br />lying and being within the boundaries of said wabasso Bridge District for the purpose of <br />maintaining said Bridge construction, in the purchase of bonds and interest coupons against <br />said District now outstanding and unpaid, the total sum estimated in the budget being <br />X2,254.21. <br />RESOLVED, that <br />the Tax Assessor <br />in and for <br />the <br />County <br />of Indian River, <br />State. of Florida, <br />be and he is hereby <br />directed to levy <br />and assess <br />all <br />of the <br />foregoing taxes <br />as fixed and <br />levied by this Board upon the property as levied and that he extend the taxes on the valua- <br />tion of such property according to said millage as fixed and determined by this Board on all <br />the property subject to taxation in the said County of Indian Rivers as to all taxes levied <br />and intended to be entered on the assessment roll under the head of County taxes and.upon all <br />property lying and being within the Districts as described within the County of Indian River, <br />as of the first day of January, 1936. <br />RESOLVED, further that the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Clerk of this Board, be and <br />he is hereby directed to furnish to w. H. Duncan `fax Assessor of Indian River County, a full <br />and complete I copy of(the(f oregoing minutes in so far as the same relates to the subj eat of <br />levying taxes, describing boundaries and etc.) <br />RBSOLVED, further that the Clerk and auditor of the County be notified of the amount to <br />be apportioned to the different accounts out of the total taxes levied for all purposes.-=; <br />It vas ordered that bonds #145--146 and 173 of the City of Vero Beach, purchased with <br />Road & Bridge funds at a price of 18je on the dollar be sold for the sum of 35.e on the dollar, <br />it appearing to be the present market price with a tote] of 11 past due coupons attached to <br />all 3 bonds, and the proceeds a total of *1050.00 be placed in the Road & . Bridge Fund of the <br />County to <br />meet <br />current <br />expenses. <br />Mrs. <br />E. C. <br />Dancy, <br />Mrs. tam. Jerry white and Miss Mary E. Keown, State Home Demonstration <br />Agent, appeared before the Board and urged that provision be shade for home Demonstration <br />work in this County for the next fiscal year. After some discussion it was ordered that the <br />,sum of 01200.00 be appropriated for this work to be paid from the General Revenue Bund of <br />the County. <br />B. G. Aamrick, City Clerk of Sebastian appeared before the Board regarding WPA Road <br />project on road west of Wabasso and running North to Louisiana. Ave.,q Sebastian and thence <br />directly North to Roseland. <br />A letter was received and read from the Federal District Nurse requesting that the sum <br />of §9.00 per week be appropriated to supplement the salary of the County Federal Burse, and <br />after consideration it was moved, seconded and carried that the sum of *36.00 per month be <br />appripriated out of the General Revenue Fund, for this work. such .Federal Nurse being, li ss <br />Leila M.
