<br />respective boundaries upon which such taxes are levied; that a certified copy of this resolution

<br />The motion for adoption was duly seconded by Commissioner Vickers, and adopted by the
<br />following vote:
<br />AYES: Graves, Glover, Vickers and R. W. Graves.

<br />Commissioner Vickers introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption, to -wit:
<br />WHEREAS, all acts having been performed and all proceedings had as required by law and
<br />'preliminary to the levy of taxes in Indian River County, Florida for the year 1945; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the respective boards and taxing districts being authorized to fix and levy
<br />;taxes upon property situated within Indian River County, Florida, as provided by law, fixed such
<br />tax levies and have certified the same to this Board and this Board having considered the same
<br />and having then found them to be proper, therefore be it resolved that:
<br />Estimates having been made by the Board of Commissioners of -the FLORIDA INLAND NAVIGAai
<br />TION DISTRICT, and a certified copy of the resolution filed with this Board, as required by law,
<br />sand as estimated, by the said Board of Commissioners, it is determined and hereby declared that
<br />a tax rate of One tenth (1/10) mill upon the dollar, be levied, and is hereby fixed and imposed
<br />and assessed for the year 1945, on all of the property in the County of Indian River lying and
<br />;being within the boundaries of said Florida Inland Navigation District, the boundaries of said
<br />District being described as the entire County as a whole, One -twentieth (1/20) mill of which
<br />shall be used to pay interest and create a sinking fund for the ultimate redemption of bonds
<br />;outstanding and One twentieth (1/20) mill shall be used for all expenses including the. purchase
<br />price of right-of-way and other property.

<br />Commissioner Frank C. Vickers introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption,
<br />to -wit:
<br />WHEREAS, the respective boards and taxing districts being authorized to fix and levy
<br />taxes upon property situated within Indian River County, Florida, as provided by law, fixed such'
<br />tax levies aid have certified the same to this Board and this Board having considered the same
<br />and having then found them to be proper, therefore be it resolved that;
<br />To meet the current expenses incidental and necessary,to the operation df the Public
<br />Schools of the County, and to pay the salaries
<br />and busses as estimated by the County Board of
<br />of teachers, bus drivers and repair school houses
<br />Public Instruction, the sum of $240,808.81, it
<br />is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of 4.5 mills upon the dollar be levied,assessed
<br />and is hereby imposed upon all the property in the County of Indian River on the first day of
<br />January, 1945.
<br />Estimates having been made by the Trustees of pPE1`CZAL TAX SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1, and
<br />the Trustees having certified the rate of millage voted to be assessed it was determined that a
<br />;tag ,rate of 25 mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby fixed and assessed for the year
<br />1945, on all of the property taxable for such purposes as provided by law in the County of
<br />Indian River lying and being within the boundaries of the,said District No. 1, which boundaries
<br />are as follows, to -wits Beginning at they Northeast corner of Sec. 3, TN 31 S., Range 39 E.,
<br />then run west along County line to N. W. corner of Tp 31 S., Range 38 E., thence South along
