The name of this Organization shall be the State Association of County <br />Commissioners. <br />I' ARTICLE 11 <br />Membership. <br />�A <br />I' <br />Membership in this Association shall be divided into three Classes, Active, Honorary <br />;and Sustaining. <br />Section. 1. Active members of this Association shall consist only of County C om- <br />j°missioners and any duly qualified and acting County Commissioner shall be eligible for mem- <br />i <br />": bership. <br />I, Section 2. Honorary members shall consist of distinguished persons selected or in - <br />h <br />�,vited to membership in this Association by its members at the annual meeting, after previous <br />la:approval and recommendation by the Board of Directors. Honorary members shall not be required <br />I <br />to be residents of the State of Florida. <br />Section 3. Sustaining Members. Any former County Commissioner, ar*, County Attorney <br />or other County or State Official who evidences sincere interest in the affairs of this <br />�Ikssociation shall be eligible, upon his request and approval by the Board of Directors, to <br />:'!membership in the Association as a Sustaining member. Sustaining members may participate <br />in the aims and purposes of this Association, may speak from the floor of the Convention and <br />at special meetings, and shall be eligible to serve upon Committees but shall not be entitled <br />to vote. <br />Dues. <br />Section 1. Dues of this Association shall be payable annually on or before the <br />first day of Abril per County, in accordance with the following schedules All Counties of the <br />State, having a population of less than 15,000, according to the last CenstLs, shall pay the <br />sum of $25.00. all Counties of the State, having a papulation of between 15,000 and 35,000, <br />according to the last census$ shall pay the sum of $50.00. All Counties of the State, having <br />a population of between 35,000 and ?5,000, according to the last census, shall pay the sum of <br />$75.00. All Counties of the State, having a population of between ?5,000 and 125,000, accord- <br />1 and confirmed by the members at any annual or special meeting for any purpose consistent with <br />• ;the aims and purposes eeRele#eat-with-th of the Association. Such assessments shall be pro - <br />'{,rated among the Counties according to the formula or ratio governing annual dues and immediat <br />'ffiled with the Secretary of the Association who shall promptly notify the several Ccu reties. <br />'ing to the last census, shall pay the sum <br />of $100.00. All Counties of the State, having a <br />1population greater than <br />125,000, according <br />to the last census, shall pay the sum of $200.00, <br />�;providing, however, <br />that this schedule of <br />dues shall not prohibit any County from paying more <br />Jif it so elects. <br />j Section 2. <br />Payment of the above <br />dues shall entitle all Commissioners of such Countie <br />jto active membership <br />in this Association. <br />i <br />Section 3. <br />Honorary members and <br />Sustaining members shall not be required to pay dues <br />Section 4. <br />Special Assessments <br />may be levied and assessed by the Board of Directors <br />1 and confirmed by the members at any annual or special meeting for any purpose consistent with <br />• ;the aims and purposes eeRele#eat-with-th of the Association.
