Ben Bishop, Environmental Landscape Group, was pleased with the current <br />requirements but felt there are a lot of areas that can and possibly should be addressed, such <br />as maintenance. <br />After discussion, Commissioner Adams questioned whether Mr. Bishop would be <br />comfortable with staff requirements and he responded affirmatively. <br />Craig Fletcher, 2345 Avalon Avenue, questioned whether when a canopy dies it can <br />be replaced by a palm cluster, and Director Boling responded that it could. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard regarding this matter. There <br />being none, the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Stanbridge questioned when the new tree ordinance will come before <br />the Board, and Community Development Director Bob Keating felt it could be ready by <br />January of next year. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Tippin, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Adams, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Ordinance 2001-031 regarding <br />landscape material replacement standards, amending <br />the following chapter of the Land Development <br />Regulations (LDRs); Chapter 926, Landscape and <br />Buffer Regulations. <br />OCTOBER 23, 2001 <br />d <br />-53- UK I <br />
