Commissioner Ginn suggested there be a provision for maintenance of the <br />landscaping because their other facility is a mess. <br />Director Boling advised that he would follow up on her observation. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard in <br />this matter. <br />Bruce Moia, Mosby & Associates, Inc., advised he was present to answer any <br />questions and FPL representatives were also present. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the Chairman closed the <br />public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY Vice <br />Chairman Tippin, the Board unanimously found that, in <br />conjunction with the recommended condition: 1) It is <br />empowered under the provisions of Chapter 917 to review this <br />special exception applied for; 2) The granting of the special <br />exception will not adversely affect the public interest; 3) The <br />application satisfies the general and specific criteria required for <br />special exception approval; and 4) The condition stated below <br />is adequate to ensure compatibility between the special <br />exception use and surrounding land uses. Further, the Board <br />granted special exception use approval for the electrical <br />substation facility with the following condition: 1) Prior to <br />issuance of a certificate of occupancy for the facility, the 12th <br />Street sidewalk shall be constructed or bonded -out.
