In meeting the special requirements of the grant each year, we are <br />required to present a proposed spending plan at a public, hearing. <br />Please allow this letter to serve as a request to set the public hearing date of September 17, 2002 <br />at the Board of County Commissioners' Meeting scheduled for September 10, 2002 As allowed <br />under LLEBG Program Purpose Area I- Law Enforcement support for eauipinent technology, <br />and other material directly related to basic law enforcement functions, the entire block grant and <br />match monies will be spent on fu-thering the Sheriffs Office mobile computing project, a <br />computer voice stress analyzer and two (2) hand held RADAR units. The total dollars <br />earmarked for this year's project is $71,872 ($64,685 federal; $7,187 local match). <br />September 17, 2002 <br />
