He then reviewed the proposed spending plan, as follows: <br />Indian River County Sheriff's Office <br />through a federal grant made to: <br />Indian River County <br />for <br />Local Law Enforcement <br />Proposed Spending Plan: 2002 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant <br />The U.S. Department of Justice, Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program allows for <br />spending in the following area: <br />Purpose Area 1. Law Enforcement support for: Procuring equipment, technology, and <br />other material directly related to basic law enforcement functions. <br />In accordance with the above purpose area, the Indian River County Sheriff's Office propose to <br />spend the LLF.BG awara by replacing aging mobile laptop computers in agency vehicles, <br />providing the Traffic Unit Motorcycle officers with hand held RADAR Units and obtaining a <br />Voice Stress Analyzer to be utilised as a investigative tool. <br />September 17, 2002 <br />
