(RFP), obtain consulting proposals, and return to the Board with a consultant ranking before <br />moving forward with the study. He said the anticipated cost of the study would be <br />approximately $150,000, noted that there is adequate funding in the impact fee administration <br />account to cover the cost; and disclosed that once the consultant has been selected, the study <br />would take about nine months to complete. <br />A lengthy discussion ensued regarding infrastructure costs associated with the new <br />growth, the expansions of existing businesses, developing alternatives to minimize or avoid <br />increasing fees on residential land uses, the County's impact fee program, and consultant <br />services. <br />Bob Johnson, Coral Wind Subdivision, sought and received information on: (1) where <br />the money came from to pay for the Impact Fee Update Study considenng recent layoffs; (2) <br />what the study involves; and (3) the timeframe for the project's completion. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner O'Bryan, <br />SECONDED by Vice Chairman Davis, to approve the <br />Scope of Services, and authorize staff to issue a Request <br />for Proposals to obtain consultant services to develop an <br />Impact Fee Update, as recommended in the memorandum <br />of February 5, 2013. <br />Commissioner Zorc confirmed with staff, that should the Economic Development <br />Council bring anything forward, that it would be addressed and possibly incorporated. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the <br />Motion carried unammously. <br />12.B.
