Commissioner O'Bryan stated that given the conflicting data presented by various public <br />speakers, the Board should err on the side of protecting the Lagoon and saving the seagrasses. <br />Commissioner Solari asked that the County Attorney post a summary of the Ordinance <br />on the County's website, with a link to the actual document, and allow the public 30 days to <br />become familiar with the new legislation before it takes effect. <br />MOTION WAS AMENDED by Commissioner Solari, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner O'Bryan, to include <br />establishing the effective date of the ordinance to be 30 <br />days subsequent to the County Attorney's posting on the <br />website a summary of the Ordinance with a link to the <br />actual document. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION, and the <br />Motion and Amendment carried unanimously. <br />(Clerk's Note: Following are additional actions that were taken with regards to the <br />above Motion and Amendment for incorporation into the Ordinance). <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner O'Bryan, <br />SECONDED by Chairman Flescher, to add to Ordinance <br />2013-012, Section 316.3. Timing of Fertilizer Application, <br />a restricted season prohibiting fertilizer application in the <br />months of June, July, August, and September. <br />Chairman Flescher stated that he had reversed his position, and would now support the <br />restricted period, because all possible measures should be employed to restore the Lagoon's <br />health. <br />OK 144PG221 <br />August 20, 2013 43 <br />
