The President/CEO is responsible for, although not limited to ; <br /> 1 . Assisting in establishing goals and objectives , <br /> 2 . Insuring that minorities are equitably represented and distributed <br /> throughout the organization . <br /> 3 . Insuring that the merits and talents of staff persons are fully developed <br /> and utilized , <br /> 4 . Suggesting appropriate persons for participation in staff development <br /> programs . <br /> 5 . Insuring that minorities are free from discriminatory actions . <br /> 6 . Carrying out all recruitment, promotion and training procedures <br /> outlined in this document. <br /> 7. Appointing a threesmember employee Affirmative Action Committee to <br /> provide employee input and to assist in advising the President/CEO in <br /> the planning , development and implementation of the program . <br /> B . The Executive Directors are responsible for, although not limited to: <br /> 1 . Assisting in establishing Society goals and objectives . <br /> 2 . Evaluating hiring and promotion patterns periodically to evaluate <br /> progress and to remove impediments to the attainment of goals . <br /> 3 . Reviewing qualifications of employees and to insure that minority <br /> group employees are given equal opportunities for all employment <br /> related decisions . <br /> 4 . Holding regular discussions with supervisors and employees to insure <br /> that the organization ' s policies are fully understood and being carried <br /> out. <br /> 5 . Insuring that minority group employees are afforded full opportunity <br /> and encouraged to participate in all organization-sponsored educational , <br /> training , recreational and social activities . <br /> -3- <br />
