Designing and implementing record keeping and audit systems that will <br /> measure the effectiveness of the program . <br /> 9 . Keeping the President/CEO informed of progress in attaining the <br /> objectives of the policy and affirmative action program and of the latest <br /> developments in the entire Equal Employment Opportunity area. <br /> IV . RECRUITMENT - The recruitment program will be conducted in a manner to <br /> insure we are actively reaching all segments of the community . If regular channels <br /> of recruitment are not supplying enough minority , direct initiative must be taken to <br /> make certain that minority candidates are identified , made familiar with available <br /> positions and encouraged to apply . This will be done by. <br /> A . Direct contact with professional minority group employment and placement <br /> agencies . <br /> B. Recruiting advertisements in minority group news media where advertising in <br /> the general media is used to fill jobs . <br /> C . Identification and contact with university placement offices . <br /> V , PROMOTIONS - Every consideration will be given to internal promotion first <br /> before seeking candidates outside the organization . <br /> A . A review of present staff will be made to see who may be qualified for <br /> promotion . <br /> B . Job openings will be announced in order that staff members are aware of these <br /> positions and may apply directly . <br /> C . Each unsuccessful applicant will be assured an explanation of the standards <br /> he/she failed to meet and recommendations of ways in which to qualify at a <br /> subsequent time , <br /> -4- <br />
