TRAINING - Learning opportunities leading to more responsible positions will be <br /> available to all staff on a planned basis . <br /> A . Promotion of educational self-development (time off will be considered if <br /> beneficial to the Society) , as budget allows . <br /> B . Briefing and training sessions for supervisors to identify and encourage staff <br /> development. <br /> C . Provision of staff attendance at conferences given by national or state <br /> organizations such as the Child Welfare League , as budget allows . <br /> D . On-site training programs for any special equipment that may be acquired . <br /> VII. COA P AINT PROCEDURES - Any complaints arising out of the work situation <br /> within the organization involving allegations of discrimination on the basis of race, <br /> sex , color, religion , age , marital status , national origin , handicap , disability or status <br /> as a disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam era , will be handled in the following <br /> manner; <br /> A , Complaints should first be taken to the Executive Director to attempt informal <br /> resolution and avoid lengthy formal procedures . <br /> B . If no solution is found , the complaint will be handled in the following manner <br /> by the President/CEO: <br /> 1 . The complaining party must file a signed written allegation with the <br /> President/CEO. This shall include the exact grounds and circumstances <br /> he or she feels were involved in the alleged discriminatory action . <br /> 2 . The President/ CEO has the responsibility to try to resolve the dispute at <br /> this point. If a solution is found , the case will be closed . <br /> 3 . Should no solution be found , the President/CEO will begin formal <br /> investigation into the matter under dispute, Evidence relating to the <br /> working environment , as well as the parties and issues involved , will <br /> be collected . At the conclusion of the investigation , the President/CEO <br /> will make a decision based on his findings and that decision will be <br /> final . <br /> -5- <br />
