The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment, and all
operations required to clear and grub the site as shown on the Plans and
' specified herein.
2 . If a mature
native tree is encountered that interferes with the Contractor' s duties , the
' Contractor shall notify the County Representative .
C . In the citrus tree area designated in the Plans for the Contractor to
' selectively clear, the Contractor shall contact the County Representative
for instruction as to what citrus trees are to be removed. All Brazilian
pepper trees in this area are to be removed.
' D . On the project site there are irrigation pipes protruding from the ground
which are outside of designated clearing areas but within the areas to be
planted. As noted in the Plans , Contractor shall remove the above- ground
portions of these PVC pipes and valves to a minimum depth of 2 feet
below the existing ground and dispose of them off site . Contractor is not
' responsible for removing buried, horizontal runs of these irrigation pipes
except where they are uncovered in the excavation of the Aquatic Habitats
' and Ephemeral Ponds .
E . However, the
Contractor shall separate foreign material such as irrigation pipes from the
' excavated soil.
0386-Technical Specifications
- 1 —
' FAEngineering\Capital Projects\0386-Pelican Island Upland Restora6on\0386-Pelican Island -Contract Docs\0386-Technical
Specifications.doc
