' SECTION 01720 - Record Documents (As -Builts ) <br /> ' 1 . GENERAL <br /> A . Maintain and provide the ENGINEER with record documents as specified below , except <br /> ' where otherwise specified or modified in Divisions 1 - 16 or the Supplementary Conditions . <br /> B . Maintenance of Documents : <br /> 1 . Maintain complete sets of record documents in CONTRACTOR's field office in clean , <br /> ' dry, legible condition . " Record Documents" include but are not limited to : Drawings <br /> (including Contract Drawings , Record Drawings , and electronic files of Record <br /> Drawings ) , Specifications , Addenda , approved Shop Drawings , samples , <br /> ' photographs , Change Orders , other modifications of Contract Documents , test <br /> records , survey data , Field Orders , and all other documents pertinent to <br /> CONTRACTOR'S Work . <br /> ' 2 . Provide files and racks for proper storage and easy access . File in accordance with <br /> filing format of Construction Specification Institute (CSI ) . <br /> 3 . Make documents available at all times for inspection by ENGINEER and OWNER . <br /> 4 . Do not use record documents for any other purpose and do not remove them from the <br /> field office . <br /> ' D . Recording : <br /> 1 . Label each document " PROJECT RECORD " in 2-inch high printed letters . <br /> 2 . Keep record documents current. <br /> 3 . Do not permanently conceal any Work until required information has been recorded . <br /> ' 2 . RECORD DRAWINGS <br /> ' A . During the entire construction operation , maintain records of all deviations from the <br /> Drawings and Specifications and prepare therefrom , 'Record Drawings" showing correctly <br /> and accurately, all changes and deviations from the work made during construction , to <br /> ' reflect the work as it was actually constructed . <br /> B . Mark whichever drawing is most capable of showing the constructed condition fully and <br /> accurately; however, where shop drawings are used for mark-up , record a cross-reference <br /> at the corresponding location on the contract drawings . Mark-up new information that is <br /> recognized to be of importance to the OWNER but was not shown on either the contract <br /> drawings or shop drawings . Give particular attention to concealed work that would be <br /> difficult to measure and record at a later date . Note related change order numbers where <br /> applicable . <br /> ' C . Organize record drawing sheets into manageable sets , bind with durable paper cover <br /> sheets , and print suitable titles , date and other identification on the cover of each set. <br /> Include the following minimum information , as applicable : <br /> ' a . Depths of various elements of ponds in relation to datum . <br /> b . Horizontal and vertical location of permanent surface improvements . <br /> C , Field changes of dimensions and details . <br /> ' e . Changes made by Change Order or Field Order. <br /> f.
