e. Preliminary coordination is required with the COUNTY for magnitude and scope of
work, and to align the proposed work with the completed pre-60% design/roadway plans.
2. Utility Services — 12-inch Reclaimed Water Main Design
The work is the preparation of additional construction documents to show the horizontal and
vertical location of a 12-inch reclaimed water main from Station 204+40 to Station 221 +00
(approximately 1 ,660 LF), as referenced from the baseline of construction for 58`" Ave.
Additional design services will include the following tasks:
a. Perform the horizontal and vertical location design of the proposed 12-inch reclaimed
water main from Station 204+40 and ending at Station 221 +00. The south end of the
reclaimed water main will be valved and plugged for connection by others in the future.
The north end of the reclaimed water main will tie-into the proposed 16-inch reclaimed
main, as described above. The main will be located on the east side of the roadway. Any
canal or water body crossings will be designed using the directional bore method.
Designing attachments to hang the proposed or existing utilities to the bridges is not
included in this amendment. The design of the reclaimed water main will also include 8-
inch stub-outs for future connections placed at approximately 1 ,000 foot intervals on both
the east and west side of the roadway .
b. The ENGINEER shall identify potential utility conflicts resulting from the proposed
reclaimed water main conflicting with the proposed potable water main stub-outs and
proposed sanitary sewer force main stub-outs. The existing utilities at these conflict
points will be located vertically and horizontally, as discussed in the Utility Subsurface
Locates item 44 below. This information will be used for design purposes to provide the
minimum vertical clearances, as required by the Department of Environmental Protection.
c. The ENGINEER shall prepare Utility Improvement Plan and Profile Sheets at a 1 "=40'
scale and technical specifications to show location of the reclaimed water main, and
submit to the COUNTY at the 90% and Final Design stages. Note: The Utility
Improvement Plans will also be used to show all other existing utility adjustments and
proposed utility additions.
d. The ENGINEER will coordinate with utility owners to minimize relocations.
e. Preliminary coordination is required with the COUNTY for magnitude and scope of
work, and to align the proposed work with the completed pre-60% design/roadway plans.
3 . Design of Stub-outs for Existing Water Mains and Sanitary Sewer Force Mains
The work is the preparation of additional construction documents to show the horizontal and
vertical location of an 8-inch water main and 6-inch sanitary sewer force main stub-outs at
approximately 1 ,000 foot intervals from Station 281 +26.74 to Station 362+58.28, as
referenced from the baseline of construction for CR-510, from Station 204+40 to Station
4
