1 <br />0 <br />1 <br />1 <br />is <br />the main canal and if they are willing to put up this amount the County would go ahead and <br />put the bridge in. <br />The following resolution was introduced by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded <br />by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried. <br />RESOLUTION -- County Dtupps <br />MUM <br />WHEREAS, Indian.River County, acting by and through its Board of County Commissiom 4s, <br />has heretofore set aside, designated and established certain area in the County for the <br />purpose of dumping and disposing of refuge; and <br />WHEREAS, it is considered necessary, in order to provide for the orderly and <br />sanitary operation of these County dumps, to adopt rules and regulations pertaining thereto; <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida) <br />that the following rules and regulations shall be applicable to each of the areas heretofore <br />set aside and established for the dumping of refuge within Indian River County, Florida, as <br />follows, to -wit: <br />1. All roadways leading from the nearest public road and providing for travel in, <br />around and through the dumps are herewith designated as public roads and the dumping of any <br />materials on the same is strictly prohibited. <br />2. The particular designated spot for the dumping of refuge shall be from time to <br />time designated and established by the County Engineer and signs erected designating the same <br />and during such time no dumpting shall be done in any place except these designated areas. <br />3. Any dead animals placed in the dumping area shall be buried and covered over <br />by the individual disposing of the same. <br />4. No contractor engaged in the business of and contracting for the clearing of <br />land shall dump any stumps of trees, underbrush or debri in any of the dumping areas of the <br />County unless said contractor shall either bury the same or destroy the same by supervised <br />burning as shall be directed by the County Engineer. Any stumps, trees or underbrush de- <br />posited in the County dump by any other person shall be immediately saturated with an in- <br />flammable material and set fire by the individual placing the same therein. <br />5. Any person violating the terms of these dumping regulations shall be prosecuted) <br />as provided by law and in addition, they shall be denied -the use of said area for dumping <br />for a period of time to be fixed by the County Engineer not to exceed 90 days.. <br />6. In order to facilitate the enforcement of these regulations and to encourage <br />the general public in assisting the County in enforcing the same, the County does herewith <br />offer a reward of $5.00 to any person furnishing information to the County leading to the <br />arrest or presecution of any person for the violation of these regulations. <br />7. The County Engineer is herewith authorized and directed to place such signs in <br />the dumping areas and to give such publicity to these regulations as he shall deem appropria <br />
