H. Driveway Bore: Measurement of Driveway Bore shall include equipment, <br />supplies, fuel, labor, sheeting and bracing, excavation, dewatering, <br />backfilling, compaction, mechanical fittings, restoration, furnishing and <br />installing pipe. Measurement of Driveway Bore does not include the <br />actual pipe installed. Installed pipe quantities for Driveway Bores are <br />covered in Section 1.03.B. Payments shall be based on the lengths specified <br />in the Schedule of Bid Items, unless otherwise noted on the plans. <br />Driveway Bore lengths specified in the Schedule of Bid Items are estimated <br />quantities. Contractor will be compensated for driveway bores on a <br />proportionate linear foot basis (e.g. an 80 foot long bore estimated at 70 feet <br />in the schedule of bid items will be compensated at the ratio of 8/7 times the <br />unit price. Likewise a 60 foot long bore estimated at 70 feet in the schedule of <br />bid items will be compensated at the ratio of 6/7 times the unit price). Indian <br />River County shall determine driveway bore lengths. <br />I. Concrete Easement: Measurement of concrete for encasement shall be on <br />the basis of the number of cubic yards of concrete installed, except that the <br />maximum allowable quantity of concrete installed shall not exceed the values <br />given below: <br />Pipe Size (Inches) Max. Concrete Sidewalk and Driveway Replacement: Shall include sidewalk <br />and/or driveway removed and replaced as a result of Contractor's operations. <br />Minimum widths of replacement shall be as described in specifications or as <br />shown on the plans. No separate payment will be made for concrete <br />construction, including sawcutting, excavation, formwork, reinforcing, or other <br />work or materials required in connection with concrete construction. The cost <br />of all concrete sidewalk and driveway replacement shall be included in the <br />cost of the pipe. <br />K. Asphaltic Pavement Replacement: Shall include asphalt removed and <br />replaced as a result of Contractor's operations. Minimum width of <br />replacement shall be as described in the specifications or as shown on the <br />plans. Work shall include sawcutting, disposal of demo'd asphalt, and <br />construction of the surface course, base, subgrade materials, and pavement <br />markings, testing and all else incidental thereto. The cost of all asphaltic <br />pavement replacement shall be included in the cost of the pipe. <br />L. Aerial crossing: Measurement of each aerial canal/ditch crossing shall be as <br />a lump sum and include all material (including pipe, valves, fittings, pilings, <br />pile caps, restraining and fastening mechanisms, etc. within limits depicted on <br />plans), all supplies, fuel, labor, equipment, sheeting, bracing, excavation, de- <br />watering, backfilling, compaction, restoration, grassing, rip -rap, testing, and <br />all else incidental thereto for the complete installation of the aerial crossing. <br />01025 Measurement and Payment.doc <br />01025-3 <br />J:\07-02912 Inch WM -Veno Lake EMates\Documents\Reports\Bidding Contract Spect5cations\01025 Measurement and Payment.doc <br />
