Compensation : All compensation for maintenance of traffic including <br /> barricades (Type II ) , Barricades (Type III ) , Temporary Pavement, Off- Duty <br /> Police or Sheriff Deputy, Concrete Barrier (Temporary) and vertical <br /> panels boards , shall be lump sum . This shall include all items and services <br /> necessary for the safe maintenance of traffic within the project limits . This <br /> shall include , but not be limited to , flaggers , construction and advisory <br /> signing , detours , temporary retaining systems , embankment , base <br /> material , asphaltic concrete , striping , cones , maintenance of pavement , <br /> asphaltic concrete curb , stormwater removal , temporary drainage <br /> structures and pipe , pumps , commercial material for driveway <br /> maintenance , flashing arrow boards , high intensity flashing lights , <br /> removable and temporary pavement markings , and temporary reflective <br /> •• pavement markers , temporary pavement , for maintenance of traffic . <br /> C . Non -Compliance : Should the Owner or Engineer determine that traffic <br /> within the project is not being maintained in accordance with the approved <br /> traffic control plan or presents a public safety concern , the contractor shall <br /> have until the end of the working day , in which notification is given , to take <br /> action to modify the maintenance of traffic . Should the contractor fail to <br /> make such modification the Owner shall have the option to fine the <br /> Contractor $400 per day until remedied . <br /> D . Traffic will be maintained in the east-west direction at all times . <br /> E . Payment shall be made under: <br /> Item No . 2- Maintenance of Traffic - Lump Sum <br /> Item No . 400 — Off Duty Law Enforcement — Lump Sum <br /> 3 , EROSION CONTROL AND TREATMENT OF DEWATERING WATER AND <br /> STORMWATER FROM THE CONSTRUCTION SITE <br /> PART 1 — GENERAL <br /> 1 . 1 SCOPE <br /> A . This Section covers erosion control and the treatment of dewatering water <br /> and stormwater runoff from the construction site and work area . The <br /> pollution control measures shall prevent turbid or otherwise polluted <br /> .. waters from being discharged from the construction site or work area , to <br /> undeveloped portions of the site or off-site . <br /> B .
