' 2 . Clean adjacent structures , facilities , and improvements of dust , dirt , and <br /> debris caused by demolition operations . Return adjacent areas to conditions <br /> ' existing prior to the start of the Work . <br /> Be Perform demolition by methods of Contractor's choice , in accordance with governing <br /> ' regulations . <br /> Co Mechanical Removal of Piping : <br /> 1 . Mechanical removals shall consist of dismantling and removal of existing <br /> piping and other appurtenances as specified , shown , or required for the <br /> completion of the Work . It shall include cutting , capping , and plugging as <br /> ' required . <br /> 2 . Existing piping not required for the new Work shall be removed where shown <br /> or where it will interfere with new Work . Piping not indicated to be removed <br /> ' or which does not interfere with new Work shall be removed to the nearest <br /> solid support , capped and left in place . <br /> 3 . When underground piping is to be altered or removed , securely strap the <br /> ' remaining piping . Abandoned underground piping may be left in place <br /> unless it interferes with new Work or is shown or specified to be removed . <br /> 4 . Any changes to potable water piping and other systems shall be made in <br /> ' conformance with all applicable codes and under the same requirements as <br /> other underground piping . All portions of the potable water system that have <br /> been altered or opened shall be pressure tested and disinfected in <br /> ' accordance with local codes . <br /> D . Break concrete and masonry into sections less than 3 '-0 " in any dimension . <br /> ' E . Remove all below-grade wood , organic material , and metal construction within <br /> building demolition area . <br /> F . Grade compacted surface to meet adjacent grades and provide proper surface <br /> drainage . Provide uniform levels and slopes . <br /> 1 3 . 2 DISPOSAL OF DEMOLISHED MATERIALS <br /> ' A . Dispose all demolition materials , equipment , debris , and all other items not marked <br /> to remain property of the OWNER , off the site and in conformance with all existing <br /> applicable laws and regulations . Pay all disposal fees . Accumulation is not <br /> ' permitted . <br /> ' Be Maintain disposal routes clear, clean , and free of debris . <br /> C .
