BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolu- <br />tion be furnished to the Commissioners of the Florida Inland Navigation Dis- <br />trict. <br />The County Engineer stated he would like to advertise for bids ,for. <br />reinforcing steel. Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, authorizing the County <br />Engineer advertise for steel. <br />The County Engineer stated, it would cost about $34,000.00 to pave. <br />Citrus Road from Old Dixie to Emerson Avenue and 20th Street from Glendale <br />to Citrus. The Chairman stated he would like to see 12th Street paved <br />to King's Ifighway. The Engineer stated this would take an additional <br />$16,000.00. The hoard requested the Engineer get together with the Clerk <br />and secs Li we could afford paving all three of these roads. <br />i.d Sc.dnu:ker told the Board that approval has been obtained from the <br />Stat. ;oid Department for the boat ramp at the Vero Leach Yacht Basin. <br />The County Engineer submitted a list of changes he would like to <br />make in the Subdivision Regulations. The Eoard said they would study the <br />list and give him their reaction at the next meeting. <br />A fill was submitted by Stone Bros. in the amount of $150.00 for <br />pauper bur -ii for t'arold Gordon. Motion was made by Commissioner Hamilton, <br />seconde6 by Commissioner iiacdonald and carried, authorizing $75.00 Le <br />i i d SiTICC We had heretofore only been paying $50.00 for burials. <br />Two Letters were received and read, one from Committee for Good <br />Government and one from the Vero Beach Board of Realtors asking that the <br />Loard take whatever steps are necessary to adopt a building code. Some <br />discussion was held in the matter which brought out the fact that the <br />last t,ne we tried to adopt a building code there was so much opposition <br />to it from the Farm Bureau and others. Motion was then made by Commissioner <br />McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, <br />that the Attorney prepare and advertise whatever notice is necessary for <br />a pdblic hearing to be held to adopt a building code. <br />
