ARTICLE 20 <br /> SUBSTITUTE EMPLOYMENT <br /> 20 . 01 The Employer agrees not to use , assign or detail members of the bargaining unit as substitute <br /> employees to perform non-firefighting duties except where lives or property are in imminent <br /> danger. <br /> 20 . 02 Furthermore , the Employer agrees to use members of the Vero Beach Volunteer Fire <br /> Department as supplements to the Department only and will not replace a professional <br /> firefighter with a volunteer firefighter. <br /> 20 . 03 Bargaining unit employees shall inform the Emergency Services Director, in writing, of any <br /> outside employment . Outside employment which interferes, or is incompatible, with County <br /> employment may be denied . No outside employment shall be performed less that eight ( 8 ) <br /> hours prior to the start of an employee ' s assigned shift. <br />
