the <br /> CONTRACTOR shall IMMEDIATELY CEASE dredging activities, <br /> notify the COUNTY and repeat the sampling and analyses until the <br /> turbidity has returned to acceptable levels. Dredging operations may not <br /> resume until the Compliance turbidity sample has returned to an <br /> acceptable level <br /> <, All reporting to the Florida DEP shall be conducted by the <br /> COUNTY. The CONTRACTOR shall be liable for any non-compliance <br /> within the conditions of the permits and terms of this contract attributable <br /> to their personnel or subcontractors. <br /> 13 . 1 . 1 . 5 Quality Control . All data shall be recorded in the Turbidity Monitoring <br /> Report as provided in Appendix F of these Technical Specifications. The <br /> nephelometer shall be field calibrated immediately prior to each sampling <br /> event and recalibrated every thirty (30) minutes during each sampling <br /> ran. The time of each calibration shall be recorded on the Turbidity <br /> Monitoring Report. The CONTRACTOR shall provide the COUNTY <br /> with a duplicate of the standard used to calibrate the nephelometer. The <br /> CONTRACTOR' S authorized technician shall attest to the accuracy of <br /> the reported data, testing equipment and procedure by signing and dating <br /> the Turbidity Monitoring Report. The COUNTY .I '. ,_; may <br /> direct that additional tests be performed at the CONTRACTOR' S own <br /> expense. <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall provide suitable transportation to and from the <br /> nearest public dock as requested by COUNTY staff or the ENGINEER to <br /> monitor the collection and analysis of turbidity samples as well as to <br /> collect and analyze comparative samples using the COUNTY ' s <br /> equipment. All monitoring shall be conducted in accordance with the <br /> CONTRACTOR' S Quality Assurance Plan. <br /> 13 . 1 .2 Construction Stake Recovery. The CONTRACTOR shall propose, for inclusion in <br /> the Monitoring Plan, a method for inventorying and ensuring the removal of all <br /> construction stakes (in their entirety) . The CONTRACTOR shall record all stakes <br /> deployed and removed on a daily basis on a Construction Stake Inventory. The <br /> Construction Stake Inventory shall be submitted to the COUNTY with the <br /> Contractor' s Daily Quality Control Report. The CONTRACTOR shall be <br /> responsible for using a magnetometer or other suitable means if necessary to locate <br /> and remove all construction stakes at no additional expense to the COUNTY. <br /> 13 . 1 .3 Topographic Profile Surveys . The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for Pre- <br /> and Post-Construction beach profile surveys between DEP reference monuments R-4 <br /> through T- 17, R-97 through R- 108, and all intermediate ( 1 /2 station) reference <br /> monuments as specified in Section 34 of these Technical Specifications and in <br /> TECHNICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIFICATIONS _ TS- 11 <br />
