Lynn Williams r ��E' <br /> GA eo ' t <br /> 16 April 2009 �,1 ~ � <br /> Page 2 consultarus <br /> treatment of petroleum - contaminated groundwater from within the UST excavation will not be <br /> performed and that the over- excavation of the UST area to remove petroleum - impacted soils will <br /> not be required . <br /> The proposed scope of work for the services required to close the USTs and provide electrical <br /> connections to the IRC -provided ASTs has been broken down into three separate phases ( Phases <br /> A through C ) as described below . <br /> Phase A — Preliminary Activities <br /> Phase A includes project management for the entire project ( Phases A through C ) , as well as all <br /> preliminary activities associated with meeting with and securing project costs from three licensed <br /> petroleum storage systems contractors and modifying the Site- Specific Health and Safety Plan to <br /> cover the UST closure activities . Specific activities include : <br /> • project planning and management responsibilities , such as correspondence with IRC , <br /> IRC Department of Health , subcontracting, invoice review , project coordination, and <br /> project administration ; and <br /> • participating in on- site meetings and correspondence with IRC , IRC Department of <br /> Health , and Brevard County Natural Resources Management Office ( administers <br /> petroleum cleanup progpin in IRC ) . <br /> Phase B — UST Closure and AST Connection Field Activities <br /> Phase B includes project activities associated with implementing the UST closure activities and <br /> connecting the IRC - provided ASTs , including the following tasks : <br /> • Perform oversight and monitoring of activities associated with the proper closure and <br /> off- site disposal of the two , 14, 000- gallon USTs in accordance with Chapter 62 - 761 , <br /> FAC . Tasks to be performed by Geosyntec ' s subcontractor will include the following : <br /> o secure permits for the removal activities ; <br /> o sawcut and remove concrete over the UST area ; <br /> o excavate overburden and stockpile for fill material ; <br /> o remove any liquid residue/ sludge within USTs ; <br /> o properly remove and dispose of USTs at the IRC landfill ; <br /> X 8091 16;CC 809040 DOC <br /> Wiginccrs I .�, � it � r � tiwt I i � in �walurs <br />
