771 <br />.. <br />_ SECTION 110 <br />CLEARING AND GRUBBING <br />A. Payment for Clearing and Grubbing shall include compensation for: the removal and <br />disposal of asphaltic (existing flexible pavement, excluding existing public roadways which <br />is paid for under Pay Item 110-4) and existing concrete pavement, concrete, sidewalks, <br />curbing, abandoned utilities (including pipes, cables, conduit and structures), existing walls, <br />riprap, various types of fences, septic tanks, drain fields, pump stations, motor boxes, <br />pumps, irrigation apparatus, base material, trimming of trees and shrubs, drainage <br />r structures, pipe, backfilling the removal excavations, plus all other items necessary to be <br />removed to construct the project. All non -salvageable materials removed shall remain <br />property of the Contractor unless otherwise directed by the Engineer or Owner. All <br />unwanted materials shall be removed and suitably disposed of by the Contractor outside <br />the project limits. Any salvage value received from the removed materials shall be <br />reflected in the Contractor's proposal. <br />B. Existing and temporary asphaltic pavement and excess subsoil shall be disposed of outside <br />the project by the Contractor, at a location and in a manner approved by the Engineer. <br />C. Removal of existing pavement includes all removal and disposal of the asphalt within the <br />limit shown on the plans for CR 512 and the intersecting side streets. A 3" layer of topsoil <br />is include in this work for the removed asphalt along CR 512 and paid for in this item. <br />• <br />D.
