Control Systems Design is working directly for the Contractor. <br />IV. Site Visit <br />1. Q. Can the existing overhead crane system be used? <br />A. The existing overhead crane system may be utilized; however, the Owner <br />makes no guarantee to the Contractor that system will be functioning at <br />the time of construction. <br />V. Written Questions <br />The following written questions were received: <br />1. Q. Item 4 and 5 on sheet M-2 are they the same? <br />A. They will be the same for Trains 1 and 2. <br />2. Q. Do you want the membranes we take out of the old vessels reinstalled <br />in the new vessel? <br />A. Yes. <br />3. Q. Are there any back-up membranes in case any of the membranes are <br />damaged during the removal process? <br />A. There are no spare or back-up membranes. The Contractor is <br />responsible to replace any membrane(s) that is damaged during <br />construction. <br />4. Q. Is there an alternate place provided to dump permeate water during <br />bacteriological testing? <br />A. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary piping, valves and <br />appurtenances to construct a temporary means to discharge the <br />permeate through the west overhead door of the RO process room. <br />5. Q. Sheet M-2 states supply and install new 64nch permeate header with <br />saddle adapters. Could we substitute with tees or tap the pipe and <br />PVC weld? <br />A. Solvent welded tees are acceptable. Tapping and welding is not <br />acceptable. <br />6. Q. Section 00100-4 Article 1.10 item F requires bidders to submit a <br />Schedule of Subcontractors, Section 00431, with the bid. <br />A.
